William David Norwood

William David Norwood, age 81, of Tomball, Texas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. He was born on June 30, 1942 to parents, Oren Gerodge Norwood and Ruth Mildred (Nissen) Norwood.

William lived in both Houston, Texas and Tomball, Texas. Some of his many passions included spending quality time with family, fishing and watching sports. Before retiring, William worked as a delivery driver.

William is preceded in death by his father, Oren Gerodge Norwood; mother, Ruth Mildred (Nissen) Norwood; brother, Donald Wayne Norwood; son, William Chester Norwood.

He is survived by son, Jerry Wayne Norwood and wife Jennifer Norwood of Hockley, Texas; daughter, Karen Rena Hoggatt and husband Brian Hoggatt of Spring Texas; daughter, Tamera Elesker Deihs and husband Pete Deihs of Spring, Texas; grandchildren; Kyle Norwood and wife Laura, Nicholas Norwood and Christina Horton, Charles Norwood and wife Brina, Brady Hoggatt, Kimberlynn Deihs and Zachary Deihs; great grandchildren, Malia Nicosia - Williams, Dallas Grey Norwood December 2023; brothers, Oren Ray Norwood and wife Pat of New Caney, Texas, Robert Allan Norwood and wife Brenda of New Caney, Texas as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

A visitation for William will be held Monday, September 25, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM, in the Grand Chapel at Brookside followed by burial at Brookside Memorial Park.

Following the service, we will be holding a fellowship at Cypresswood Subdivision Club, 3705 Cypresswood Dr, Spring, TX 77388. You are warmly invited.

Serving as pallbearers are, Nicholas Norwood, Charles Norwood, Jerry W. Norwood, Brady Hoggatt, Brian Hoggatt, Pete Deihs, and honorary pallbearer, Zachary Deihs.
