William Charles Hicks, Jr.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, Charles and Tommie. William Charles Hicks, Jr. (Bill) is survived by his sister, Sherry Ann Hicks Strunk and her husband Thomas Eugene Strunk, Nephews; Robert Alan Strunk and wife Cassandra Garza Strunk, Jacob Thomas Strunk and wife Adrianna Trevino Strunk, Great-Niece and Nephews; Maddison Strunk, Gerrit Strunk and Trenton Strunk and many other loving family members and friends.

Bill grew up in San Antonio, Texas, moving with his family to Houston just before his high school senior year. He continued to live and work in Houston, Texas after graduating high school. Bill was active in Bible study and enjoyed reading. He made close friends while attending an adult Bible study group which have lasted a lifetime.

Bill was very interested in history and enjoyed museums and other historical locations. He was fascinated by space travel. He followed the NASA program, routinely watching space walks and rocket launches on the computer and TV.

In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Katy Christian Ministries, Goodwill, Kingsland Baptist Church, Spring Woods Baptist Church and Bible Study Fellowship.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 22nd, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home located at 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079 followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm. A committal service will immediately follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
