A native Houstonian, Bill was born on the 29th of July 1948. He attended Lamar High School and later graduated with a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Bill made a name for himself as a commercial real estate broker and founded Sharp & Associates, Inc. in 1982. Bill loved the outdoors, be it sailing, snow skiing, bird hunting, walking his dog, or anytime spent on a sunny beach. Indeed, he appreciated and thrived on the simple things in life. Bill never knew a stranger, always wore a smile, and counted himself lucky to have the best friends a person could ask for.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Henry Sharp, and mother, Lois Marie Starkey Sharp. His memory will be cherished by his wife of 37 years, Zoeanne Lively Sharp; daughter, Elizabeth Sharp Austin and her husband Jeremy; daughter, Allison Marie Sharp; sister, Nancy Ann Sharp; and his granddaughter, Everley Zoe Austin. Bill will also be sorely missed by his extended Lively family, as well as many, many good and steadfast friends.
Bill’s family wishes to thank Houston Hospice and the staff at Brookdale Place Spring Shadows for their kindness, support and respectful, compassionate care of Bill.
Friends are cordially invited to gather with the family and share remembrances of Bill during a reception to be held from four o’clock in the afternoon until six o’clock in the evening on Saturday, the 18th of October, in the grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions in Bill’s memory may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association Houston & Southeast Texas, 6055 S. Loop E., Houston, TX 77087.
