Wendell Nyle Muckelroy

Wendell Nyle Muckelroy, born December 4, 1950 in Kilgore TX to Jasper and Anexial Muckelroy, went to be with his Lord on December 23, 2010. Preceded in death by his brother, Myron A. Muckelroy. Wendell leaves to cherish his memories, daughter, Wendellyn Muckelroy Alexander (Jeff); 3 grandchildren, Nylia and Elijah Watts and Payton Alexander; step grandchild, Javia Alexander; his parents Jasper and Anexial Muckelroy; two sisters, Wanda Muckelroy Sterling, Caroll Muckelroy Ecby (Don); two brothers, Jasper Muckelroy Jr. (Sherry) and Cloyce Muckelroy (Pat); uncle and aunt, Sylvester and Leona Muckelroy. He also leaves to cherish his memories several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Wendell attended Kashmere Sr. High School and graduated in 1968. He was an ordained minister. He was in the Kashmere Stage Band where he played the french horn and also played trombone in the Concert Band. He also attended TSU and was in the Ocean of Soul Band. He worked for the City of Houston in the Department of Public Works and Engineering where he was the Water Service Inspector II. Wendell has been a loyal employee for the City since September 11, 1979. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am Friday, December 31, 2010 followed by Funeral Ceremonies beginning at 11:00 am at Brookside Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Brookside Memorial Park.
