He was an Army Veteran (WWII) serving in General MacArthur’s GHQ. Most of his career was spent in Drilling Fluids business, Baroid 36 years, Baker Hughes 5 years and Anchor drilling 2 years; all mainly in International assignments.
Wayne is preceded in death by parents Mamie Robbins and Neal Messer; daughter Susan; brothers Robert, Dalwin and Lynwood. He is survived by sons Dwayne, Gary, Glenn and wife Linda; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home in Houston, TX. for visitation on Tuesday, January 3rd from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
Funeral services at Forest Park Lawndale on Wednesday, January 4th at 11am followed by private family burial at Memorial Oaks Cemetery Wednesday afternoon.
Serving as Pallbearers: Dwayne Messer, Gary Messer, Glenn Messer, Mickey Howell, Andrew Howell, Zach Norwood and Darin Samford.
