Wanda Elaine Goad

Wanda Elaine Goad, age 82, of Houston, Texas passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday evening, September 6, 2023. She was born in Bauxite, Arkansas on May 21, 1941 to parents Vernon John Fowler and Ouida Isadora Fowler.

Wanda graduated from Bauxite High School in Arkansas and received a Bachelor degree from the University of Houston, Clear Lake. She met Ed Goad in High School in Benton, Arkansas and married on August 1, 1958. They divorced in 1987. Wanda had a career in teaching at Aldine ISD for several years, and was a member of Candlelight Church of Christ in Houston. She had a life-long passion for teaching.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ouida Fowler and Vernon Fowler.

Wanda is survived by her sons, Mark Goad and wife Tereasa Goad, and Kevin Goad; and granddaughters, Makenna Goad, and Reagan Goad.

A graveside service for Wanda will be held Monday, September 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
