Wanda L Denson

Wanda Lee Kovach Denson, age 63, born in Liberty County, February 17, 1947, residing in Cleveland, Texas, passed away September 11, 2010. Wanda was preceded in death by mother, Stella Lee Kovach and father John Kovach II.

Wanda is survived by her ex-husband and life companion Alex Denson of Liberty, Texas; daughter Velvadawn Lee Rawls of Tarkington and granddaughter Kate Lee Rawls of Tarkington; sister, Johnnie Mae McLin and husband James of Houston, Texas; and brother, John Kovach III and wife Delores of Romayor, Texas.

Wanda graduated from Cleveland High School in 1965 then attended X-ray Technician School at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas. Wanda became an LVN and worked in several hospitals in Harris, Liberty, and Chambers counties. Wanda also worked with Home Health Services and Nursing Homes in the Galveston and Texas City area.

The Denson family expresses gratitude to Odyssey Hospice House in Conroe, Texas and the Odyssey Hospice Care of Beaumont, Texas for their extensive care. Also we appreciate the compassionate support and care from the nursing staff and administration of Magnolia Place Nursing facility of Liberty, Texas.

Wanda had many relatives, friends, and acquaintances throughout life who loved her. The Denson / Kovach / McLin families thank all for their care and support.

Services will be at Brookside Funeral Home, 13401 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas on September 15, 2010. Visitation is from 2-3pm, with Funeral / Burial Services starting at 3 pm.
