Walter Leon Thompson, 75, born February 5, 1937 in Abilene, Texas entered into eternal rest July 17, 2012. He is preceded in death by his wife, Katie. Left to cherish his memories: daughter, Laurie Howell & husband Randy; son, Lawrence Hoffman & wife Elizabeth; son, Johnny Hoffman & wife Lisa; grandchildren: Brandon S. Howell & wife Amy, Jessica Hoffman Pollett & husband Billy, Sabrina F. Ellison & husband Kevin Farmer, Robert E. Simons Jr & wife Christina; great grandchildren: Lori Simon, Ariel Ellison, Jessie Lynn Ellison, Lilly Howell, Joshua Howell; special friend, Sherry Armstrong & husband Ray; along with numerous other dear family & friends. Visitation will be Friday, July 20th from 5-8pm. Funeral Services will be held at 9am, Sat., July 21st at Brookside Grand Chapel. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
