

On November 6,1937 in Shreveport, Louisiana a baby girl, the fifth of five children was born to Roberta (Burton) and Deacon Adolphus Anderson. They named her Virginia Dell, also known as “Aunt T,” as she was called by most of her relatives, but by her children and grandchildren “Madea”. Virginia joined church and gave her life to Christ at an early age.
She received her education from the Caddo Parish public school system, graduating from Booker T. Washington High School in Shreveport in 1955. Virginia had a childhood friend named Robert Belton, whom she married in 1956.
The couple later moved to California where he served at Norton Air force Base. They raised two children, Art (Anthony) and Zachary. Virginia and Robert later divorced. Virginia moved to Houston with the rest of her family where she continued her education at Nursing School of Medicine and joined the families newly founded church by her parents Baptist Greater True Vines.
Virginia earned her degree in Nursing and worked as an LVN until she met Reverend Rayfield White and retired from work to focus on her family, while becoming the First Lady of Mount Pilgrim Rest Church. Under the leadership of Reverend Rayfield White, Virginia was also called to minister. On April 3, 1972, Virginia became an ordained Elder-Minister until she became immobile. After the passing of Rayfield in 2009, Virginia returned to Baptist Greater True Vines under Reverend Aaron Steward Jr.
Virginia 's hobbies were walking around singing for the Lord (at church & at home), cooking for her family, watching westerns with her husband, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Rayfield White, her parents Adolphus & Roberta Anderson, brother Adolphus Anderson Jr., sisters Ruth Mitchell, Catherine Ball, Viney Handley, and great-grandson DaVonte White.
Virginia leaves to mourn sons, Art (Anthony) & Survilla Belton and Zachary Belton; grandchildren, Anthony Belton Jr., Malik & Yolanda Belton, Jasmine & Verdis Wilson, Manikka “Coco” & Donald Trim, Simone “Nikki” & Dominic Davidson, Miunique Washington, and Ashley Belton.
She also leaves to mourn a host of great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A visitation for Virginia will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. The funeral service will immediately follow from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The committal will be held following services from 3:45 PM to 4:00 PM at Paradise North Cemetery located at 10401 W. Montgomery Rd.
