Virgil E. Cammack Jr. passed on from this life on October 1, 2017. He was born in Houston, TX on August 7, 1933 to Virgil and Julia Mae Sellers Cammack. He grew up in Houston, TX. He graduated from Lamar High School in May 1951. He received his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin. After serving in the military, and during his service in the Reserves, he practiced law in Houston and then moved his law practice to Pasadena in 1963. He practiced law in Pasadena until his retirement in 2004. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Pasadena. He was on the Board of the Salvation Army and a member of the Pasadena Noon Optimist until joining the Pasadena Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife Lou Woodward Cammack of 57 years of marriage; two sons Virgil and Keith, and a daughter Cathy and husband Jerry Lowry; four grandchildren Jerry Wayne, Jr. and wife Lacey Lowry, Brittany and husband Weldon Cupp, Thomas and wife Samantha Lowry, and Trevor Lowry; and five great-grandchildren - Addisyn, Teagan, and Jerry Wayne III (Trip) Lowry, and Honour and Layson Cupp; sister Elizabeth and husband Sam Nuchia.
Visitation will be Friday, October 6 from 5-8 pm at First Presbyterian Church of Pasadena. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 7 at First Presbyterian Church of Pasadena followed by dinner in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Presbyterian Church of Pasadena.
