Vahik Baghdassarian of Houston, Texas was born, September 10, 1948 in Tehran, Iran. He died peacefully at home on December 18, 2014 with his son at his side. He is survived by his faithful and loving wife of 40 years, Madlen.
Vahik emigrated to the United States in 1975 a few years before Madlen and Ned joined him in 1977. He earned an Associate’s degree and continued his education becoming an HVAC designer.
He loved all things engineering and designing and was often found with a book, always learning about it. While he was reading he was always accompanied by a cup of hot tea. You would rarely find him without one. He loved cars and soccer and would play soccer twice a week with good friends who he loved very much.
He was a loyal and faithful husband, father, and friend. He was a hard worker, always seeking to grow and improve his skills. He had a tender heart and often defended those who were weak and who could easily be taken advantage of. He was incredibly generous and would not think of what he would be losing by giving to another. He had a great smile.
He is survived by his son, Ned Baghdassarian; daughters, Laura Murray and husband Craig, and Annie Baghdassarian; grandchildren, Luke and Cora Murray; sisters, Yerjenik Baghdasarian and husband Garegin and Linda Berecz and husband Andy; brother, Norik Baghdasarian and wife Nazik; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
