Thelma M. Smallwood

Thelma M. Smallwood, born in Houston, Texas is a second generation Texan. She is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Anna Mattern, loving husband Guy W. Smallwood, Sr., oldest sister Elaine, brother Paul, brother-in-laws Don and Kurt and great nephew Matthew II.

A faith filled, devoted, life long Catholic, she was family oriented, smart and strong, yet petite and soft spoken. A loving mother and friend. She loved bowling, dancing with her husband, playing games and dominoes. She valued hard work while cherishing family and friends until her journey in this life ended.

She is survived by her youngest sister, Carol and sister-in-law Jan, as well as her children Donna Jolly and husband Tom, Karen Frost and husband Dennis, Guy W. Smallwood, Jr. and wife Charla. Grandchildren Jennifer, Kevin, Deon and Hannah. Great Grandchildren Caleb, Kinley, Hank and Hazel. As well as other extended family and friends, she held so very dear.

Honorary Pallbearers are Ron Bishop, Mark Mattern, Matthew Smith, Cole Rogers, Kevin Jolly and Janet Cole.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to: The Alzheimer's Association or the National Autistic Society.

A visitation for Thelma will be held Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A committal service will occur Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
