Terry Lynn Gibson

Mr. Terry Lynn Gibson, devoted husband of Leanne Gibson, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015 in Houston, Texas at the age of 60. Terry was born October 8, 1954 and grew up in Bellaire, Texas. He graduated from Bellaire High School and attended the University of Houston. In addition to his wife, Leanne, Terry is survived by his brother Erwin (Debra) Gibson, two children: Michael (Jennifer) Gibson (mother: Becky McClure) and Brooklynn Gibson (mother: Marilyn Berwick), two stepchildren, Laura (Nathan) Stephenson and Kevin (Melissa) Reed. Terry is also survived by four grandchildren: Alicia Gibson, Alivia Gibson, Angel Gibson, and Declan Stephenson, along with nephew Douglas (Andria) Gibson and numerous cousins and other family members. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Darrel and Emma Mullins Gibson. Terry was well-known throughout the community as a sports official. He loved having the best seat in the house while getting paid for it. Terry was a larger-than-life gentleman, who put family first and loved fiercely. He lived life with vigor and passion. Services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Visitation will be Friday, June 5, 2015 from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Memorial Serice at 7:00p.m.
