Suzanne Gail Tibbs

Suzanne was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Grand Coteau, Louisiana in 1963. She went onto college at the University of Southwestern Louisiana.

Suzanne started her family with her college sweetheart. She was a loving mother of three, grandmother of five and had several great grandchildren.

Suzanne worked many years in the medical field including being a phlebotomist at the University of Texas Medical Branch of Galveston, Texas though her main passions were her family and close friends.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents E.C and Inez Broussard and her husband Tony Tibbs. She was also preceded in death by her aunt Maud Dugal. She is survived by her three children Lewis T. Abney III, Christa C. James and husband Jay Parvin, and Katherine E. Bell and husband John Blakemore. Her grandchildren were Matthew A. James, Alexandria L. Roberts, Michael A. James, Melissa N. Pendergraft, and Anthony D. Bell. She also had several great grandchildren and many family friends.

A visitation for Suzanne will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7010 Chetwood, Houston, TX 77081, followed by a celebration of life at 3:00 pm.
