Suey Hung Jee

Suey was preceded in death by her parents, Hun Hein Ng and Tan Lion Kwan Ng, and her beloved husband of 52 years, Thick Leng “Clarence” Jee.

She is survived by her sister Mrs. Toy Fong (Kam Kong), sister Mrs. Susie Wing (Columbus), and brother Mr. Calvin Ing (Caroline); son White Dan Jee (Delora), son White Gan Jee (Muntanee), and daughter Folly Ann Jee Ligh (Alan); grandchildren Michelle Jee Bui (Mike), Nicholas Jee, Alexandra Ligh, and Zachary Ligh; and great granddaughter Madeline Grace Bui.

Thick L. and Suey Jee owned and operated Clarence’s Food Market in Tutwiler, MS for 35 years prior to their retirement to Sugar Land in 1985. Suey loved and cared much for her family by cooking delicious meals and creating many fond memories.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and the Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 10:00 am. Both will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to a church or charity of your choice, Sugar Creek Baptist Church in Sugar Land, TX, or the Mississippi Delta Chinese Heritage Museum in Cleveland, MS.
