Greg grew up in the Clear Lake area, graduating from Clear Lake High School and then the University of Texas (Austin). Greg worked overseas for KBR before returning to attend law school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Greg practiced law in Houston, McAllen, and El Paso, and was a member of the Texas Trial Lawyer's Association. He enjoyed travel and learning about different countries and cultures. Greg was a 7th generation Texan was born January 9, 1975 in Galveston, Texas.
He is pre-deceased by his father Stephen Orren Rushing, MD, survived by his mother Margaret Rushing; brother, David (Erin); nephew, Noah; nieces, Hannah; Tabitha; and Abigail. Aunts: Christine Trapani (Frank); Edith Henson; and Susan Wade (Dennis). Cousins: Laralie Coffey (John); Wina Wade (Lance Jackson); Maren Henson (Daniel Grantham); Jerry Henson (Almere); and Andrew Henson.
Visitation with the family will Monday, February 5, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm in The Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 10:00 am at Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway Drive, Houston, Texas 77057 with the graveside following at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery.
