He was born in Scotts Bluff, NE, on Dec. 16th, 1933.
Stanley joined the United States Air Force in 1950 at the young age of 17.
He became a Pilot and Airplane Mechanic flying several missions during the Korean War.
He was married in 1963 to his wife of 49 years, Wanda Maxine Mills of Hargill, TX.
Stanley had a successful career in sales, owning a few businesses then managing several car repair shops. He was a Baptist preacher in Flower Bluff, TX, for some years and lived by his Christian beliefs his entire life. Stanley never missed a chance to pray for others.
He had a passion for fishing and his faith which he shared with his wife Wanda.
Stanley is survived by two sons, Vernon Ted Mills of Cypress TX and Raymond Stafford of CA, two daughter-in-laws, Melanie Mills and Cathy Stafford, and 7 grandkids, Marissa, Carol, Jennifer, Mark, Tanya, Rebecca and Sam along with multiple great grandkids. He is preceded in death by his wife Wanda Mills and son, Charlie Stafford of CA.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, February 15th, 2022, at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston TX 77038. Graveside service following at 1:00 pm at the Veterans Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr in Houston.
