Spencer was born in Biloxi Mississippi on October 21st, 1959. He is the eldest son of the late Marian Elizabeth Spann Sherrod Hemphill Davis and Spencer Mcdonald Sherrod. He is survived by his spouse Anita Sherrod, his daughter Anna Rebecca Sherrod and his two grandsons Amaree Sherrod and Andre Brooks. He is also survived by his father Spencer Mcdonald Sherrod, 86, of Vacaville, CA (Linda), his sister Deirdre Rene' Johnson (Pete), of Waveland, MS, his brother Trent Avery Sherrod (Maria) of Melbourne Australia and his sister Artri Bianca Spratling (Obie) of Clinton MD.
After graduating from Vanden High School in 1977, Spencer attended Solano Community College to pursue his love of music. While his love of music actually began at the tender age of 10, he continued to pursue his passion throughout his time in college. While in college, under the tutelage of the great Mr Joe Baccus, Spencer was encouraged to switch from the trumpet to the saxaphone. This switch allowed him to hone his craft and turn seemingly normal music into breathtaking, lush moody, brilliant music. Spencer soon became a saxaphone virtuoso.
Spencer had very many interests, one of them being serving God, which lead to devote his life to also to serving Jehovah. Somtime around the 1980 Spencer decided to become a Jehovah's Witness and it was through this decision and a mutual friend that he was introduced to Miss Anita. The two courted and were married on August 13, 1986. At the time of his marriage to Miss Anita. Spencer was a Ministerial Servant in his congregation in Fairfield, California.
After the birth of Spencer and Anita's one and only child, Anna Rebecca in 1991, Spencer was appointed an Elder in the congregation . One of his additional assignments within the congregation was that he once served as a School Overseer.
Spencer was a very passionate and talented person. When he wasn't serving Jehovah he was playing his music. Throughout his music career he was fortunate enough to have share the stage with many renowned musicians such as Jimmy Smith (organist), Joyce Cooling, Paul Taylor, the amazing Johnathan Butler, Rob Mullin, Everett Hall, Rick Braun, and he was also a guest performer at a listening party featuring Chico DeBarge.
Armed with Big dreams and plenty of talent and energy, Spencer wanted to positively influence the world and connect with like minded individuals through his music!!
