Shirley Anne Terry

May 4, 1937 – June 29, 2021

Shirley Anne Helms Ford Terry went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ , on June 29th at the age of 84. She was born May 4, 1937 in Norfolk, VA. Her parents were Laura Virginia Fentress and Charles James Helms, Jr. She was legally adopted by her step father Paul Mathew Ford, Sr. and her name was changed to Shirley Anne Ford as was her brother Charles William Ford.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Charles William Ford, her 3 husbands, Clarence Eugene Guthrie, Frank Marten Cornwell, and PO1/E-6 Silas David Terry, Sr. Her son Donald Mark Guthrie and her Granddaughter Colleen Anne Clark and her son Silas David Terry, Jr.

She is survived by her son Daniel Eugene Guthrie of Reistertown, MD, her daughter Lauretta Marie Guthrie Clark (David) of Houston, TX, a son Christian Louis Cornwell of Texas. A granddaughter Chastity Anne Clark Ward (Brian) of Georgetown, TX, a grandson David Robert Clark (Melody) of Houston, TX., A son, Patrick Daniel Terry, Sr., (Mary) of Daytona Beach, FL., 2 nieces and one nephew, 6 great grandkids and 3 great, great grandkids, and her sister in law Betty Ford of Chesapeake, VA.

She was an accountant for Chartway FCU for many years, she also was a great sales person with Princess House and House of Lloyds. She lived a very full life and did some traveling. She went to Spain, England and Greece. She was a member of Fairfield United Methodist Church in Fairfield, ME.

She loved Christmas very much and her house was always decorated to the hilt. So much so that she had people come in to tour the house for the cost of canned goods, which she gave to the local food banks. She was a very loving and vibrant woman. Everyone loved her. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and the people who helped to take care of her.
