Sarah graduated from Lincoln High School in Cold Springs, Texas, from which she graduated with honors. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Master’s Degree in Counseling from Texas Southern University. Sarah worked as a teacher and counselor for over 42 years for North Forest Independent School District.
Sarah united with St Rest Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, of which she remained until her death. Sarah was a faithful Secretary of the Sunday School at Saint Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
Sarah loved and admired her family. She was well known and highly respected by many. Sarah donated generously to her family, friends, church, and charitable organizations.
Sarah was a lifetime member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. (Gamma Sigma Chapter).
In 2016 Sarah was honored by the National Women of Achievement Incorporated, Profile of Prominence Activities through the Missouri City Houston Metro Chapter. She received the Outstanding Community Citizens Award.
The Lord called Sarah home to be with him on September 27th, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ambus and Ora Richardson. Sisters Norvella Oliphant, Creola Williams, Blanche Ellis, Mildred McElroy. Brothers Ambus Richardson Jr, John Henry Richardson, Cloid Richardson, Dock Richardson, Hosea Richardson, Autherine Richardson. Son Terrace Burnett. Son-in-law Ronald Wiltz. Grandsons Nathan Crawford and Corey Crawford.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Wiltz, and son Nathan Burnett. Grandchildren, Charita James (Samuel), Myeshia Toliver (Lebree), Tekera Crawford, Aaron Barrett, Keon Burnett, Rochelle Wiltz (Shawncora), Meteka Blackshire, Tai’Shan Burnett. Great- Grandchildren, Marcus Jones, Marcaila Reed (Mitchell), C’Asia Baldwin, LaNae Kersee, Peter Cobos, Jr, Kartyr King, Keon Burnett, Jr, Jacob Crawford, Saint James. Great-great Grandchild, Montana Reed. Sisters Fannie Murray and Pearlie Randle.
