Samuel E. “Eddie” Wilson, age 88, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Born in Stamps, Arkansas, he served our country honorably in the Army, was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who loved animals, Houston sports, playing golf and watching Wheel of Fortune. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Bope and Rene Wilson; and brothers, Jim and Tommy Wilson. Survived by wife of 49 years, Della Ann Wilson; daughter, Anita Pierce and husband Gerald; son, Chris Wilson and wife Kelly; grandchildren, Sarah, Stephen and Samantha Pierce, and Preston and Kendall Wilson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven with Rev. David Muntsinger officiating. Interment will then be held at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Zachary Austin, Joe Cordova, Stephen Pierce, Bobby Joe Roberson, Brady Roberson, and Roy Roberson.
