Rose Rother Murray

Rose Marie Rother Murray, age 74, of Cypress, TX, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at home, with her daughters by her side. Rose was raised in Katy, TX and graduated from Katy High School in 1964. She married Dennis W. Murray on April 19, 1969 in Houston, Texas. They resided in Houston, TX for their married life. She spent her time caring for her family and was a devoted wife, mother, Granny, and Nanny.

Rose enjoyed spending time outside taking care of her flowers and watching the birds. She enjoyed playing games and won most domino matches! She also loved spending time with her daughters and eight grandsons.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis W. Murray and her parents, Walter and Ruby Rother; as well as her Aunts, Louise, Edna, and Johanna Rother.

She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Wilson and her husband Byron, of Parker, Colorado and Debra Weaver and her husband Jason of Cypress, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon Wilson, Dillon Wilson, Mason Wilson, Jayden Weaver, Matthew Weaver, Clayton Weaver, Joshua Weaver, and David Weaver. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Weitzenkorn of Lakeway, Texas.

A celebration of life for Rose will be held Sunday, December 20, 2020 starting at 11:00 AM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079. The committal service will follow celebration of life.
