Rose Hing Gee

Rose Hing Gee went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the age of 90. Rose was born November 21, 1924 in Cleveland, Mississippi to Joe Fong and Wong Shee Hing. During the depression she and her family moved to Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1943 and the University of Houston in 1950. She married the love of her life, Wing Ton(Wilson) Gee in 1951. She was a resident of Bellaire since 1954. Rose was a dedicated teacher in Houston ISD for 30 years, having taught at Parker Elementary and River Oaks Elementary. She was active in the Adult Sunday School Class and Rainbows at Chinese Baptist Church. She touched many lives with her warm heart and her smile. She was truly a beacon of light to all she met. She is preceded in death by her husband, her father and mother, sisters Mable Ishida, Lily Tang, brothers, Robert and George Hing. She is survived by her son Randall (Randy) and wife Sabrina, grandchildren Whitney and Alex Gee and many loving nieces, nephews, friends and her constant companion Tinker. Visitation will be held Friday, June 19th 6 to 9 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Chapel and a private internment. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to charity of choice.
