Ronald “Ronny” Allan Roberts, age 64, of Houston, Texas passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on October 27th, 2023 in Indianola, Texas while on a fishing trip. He was born December 02, 1958, in Houston, Texas to parents Johnny and Elaine Roberts.
Ronny was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Roberts, and his mother, Elaine (Newberry) Roberts.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Emily Roberts, who he would call My Angel; his siblings, Teri and husband David Green, Johnny Roberts and wife Tamara, and Toni Roberts; his children, Molly, Dustin, and Trenton Roberts, Chrystal and husband Warren Manuell, Chris Ashorn; his stepchildren, Vanessa Jimenez, Esmeralda and husband David Rodriguez, and Matias Jimenez Jr. and partner Anthony Parsons; his grandchildren, Isaiah and Bella Roberts, Dustin Jr, Riley, and Mason Roberts, London Roberts, Dylan, Kreyce, and Blayne Manuell, Kolbi Ashorn, Nathaniel Starbuck Blanco, Anthony, Nicholas, and Makayla Rodriguez ”Little Girl”; and many nieces and nephews.
He will be missed by his life-long friend Billy Mills, who Ronny grew up with since Kindergarten; and special friend Robert Mancil (Ronny’s camping buddy).
Ronny graduated from Lutheran High School, and then entered the electrical training center. He graduated as a Journeyman electrician, belonging to IBEW local 716. He continued his career working for Fisk Electric, Foley’s, Texan Electric, Tenaris, and retired from Wayne Electric.
Ronny was known to be a jokester, always playing tricks on people and always making people laugh by being mischievous. He was very sociable and made friends with strangers everywhere he went. His neighbors became close friends, who he would spend hours with hanging out in his garage, playing pool, talking on the phone, going to car shows, going fishing, or just helping each other out with projects. He has made countless friends and has touched so many people’s hearts. Ronny was always interested in anything that included advanced technology and was excited if he could amuse or shock others with new gadgets. All family and neighbors knew he had skills for any home emergencies and was always ready to help. Ronny was a great listener, and he could always bring words of comfort when someone was facing dark times. No matter what the job was or how much time it took, he was always there and would help his friends and family anyway he could. Ronny will be missed by so many people whose lives he became a part of. His wisdom, generosity, playfulness, and love will never be forgotten.
