Robert Brooks Champion born January 25, 1954 in Houston, Texas, passed away suddenly in New Braunfels, Texas on December 22, 2022. He was born to Bertie Boyd Champion and Frank B. Champion III, who both preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Denise Clancy Champion and daughter Sarah Champion. Robert is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Katie and Mike Simpson, uncles Brooks and Charles Boyd (Sarah) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Robert graduated from Lee High School in Houston in 1972 and from Southwest Texas State University in 1976. He was an avid outdoorsman. Robert built beautiful custom homes in central Texas for many years. He was admired and deeply loved for his sense of fairness, keen intellect, and sense of humor.
A memorial service for Robert will be held Friday, December 30, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.
