Darling Brandon,
It is three days away from the three year anniversary of your death. There have been a lot of things that have happened in those three years- good and bad. The best thing was the birth of your nephew Erym Brandon Bell on 4-5-14. He is what lets me know that there is still good in this world. I am making arrangements to have your ashes buried in the cemetery that Shelby is in (Tomball).  Daddy & I will also be there with you one day. I have talked to Chris and Austin about it and am hoping to get it done by your birthday in March. I want friends and family to be there and I want your music to play and have friends and family speak if they want to. It is still so hard without you. Lots of days I wish I was not here, but with you.  Then I think about how Daddy needs me and so I am here. I woke up last Saturday 11-22-14 and shot up out of bed with an idea from you or God. I have always wanted something good to come out of losing you and the idea was to work to have spikes installed at the exits on the beltway so no one else has to lose their son because of entering the wrong way on the Beltway. I want no credit just want it to happen. I still have your picture by my bed and kiss it good night every night.  I cannot wait to hug and hold you again my precious boy! I will always keep your memory alive! There is not 5 minutes that goes by every day that I do not think of you in some way. I will try to be thankful for the 30 short years you were here, but it is so hard not to be bitter about your life being cut so short! Forever & ever, Mom.

My Baby Brandon,
I had posted a message before this one and somehow it never showed up.  It is almost Thanksgiving and it will be the second one we have to endure without you, sweet boy.  You have missed your cousin Matthew's wedding this summer.  Jenny, Blake, Dad and I went to it outside of Austin.  It was bittersweet. Another reminder that I will never see you get married.  Daddy is permanently disabled now and does not work.  It is hard for him without you.  He is alone most all day with just time to think about how much he misses you.  We both have been at almost the breaking point not wanting to go on without you in our lives.  I told your brother as much.  Then Blake came to my office in August with Jenny to tell me that they were going to have a baby!  It has given us some hope for some joy to come back into our lives.  The baby could never take your place, but a reason to stay here.  The baby is a boy and I wanted it to be a boy so badly! Blake and Jenny named him after his Uncle Brandon.  His name is Erym Brandon Bell and will be born in April.  The eighth is the day they anticipate.  I was so sad you were not here to share this wonderful news!  I know you would have been so happy also.  I have purchased a bentwood rocker like the one I had when you boys were little out of a little life insurance policy that you had when you were little and left to me.  Blake told me he wanted one just like mine so I am giving it to him from you.  I will be sure that Erym knows all about his Uncle Brandon. The anniversary of your accident is the day after Thanksgiving this year.  It does not seem possible that it has been 2 years and then it seems like it was yesterday.  I still have your picture next to my bed and kiss it good night every night.  How I long to hold you! I love you more than ever precious one.  I hope you knew just how much! Eternally, Mom

Precious Brandon,
I still miss you terribly! We went to Ciros' to celebrate your 32nd Birthday.  When I said the prayer before we ate I wanted to say something about you, but I could not choke out the words.  Blake was home just in time for your birthday this year which made it easier than last year. A lot of your friends posted birthday messages on your facebook page over 50 people.  It made me happy to see that they have not forgotten you in the busyness of their lives. Schmitty , Chris, Chase and Austin have been working on the music from "Verdome" and have posted a couple of videos and have been sure to give you credit in playing the bass.   Easter was yesterday (March 31st) and I broke down Saturday making Easter baskets for Jenny, Blake and Dad.  I even put Reese's in Blakes' basket even though he does't like them becuase I know how much you liked them. No one to eat Cadbury eggs with me.  I want to remember these things as the years pass.  I am so afraid I will forget things and I don't want to forget anything!  I have been organizing your pictures from when you were born in albums making sure all have dates etc.  I want Blake & Jenny's children to look through them and know who their Uncle Brandon was and how much we love/loved you and how very important you are/were to us all.  Went to church with Blake, Jenny & Dad and at the end they sang the Allejuia chorus and I had to close my eyes tightly not to loose it.  I wondered if you were celebrating Easter also or if it is Easter in Heaven everyday.  I will close for now precious.  I am still at work and need to get home to your Dad.  I had them repair the screen on your I-phone and I am hoping to be able to read the text messages on it to read your final words.  I hope they are still there. When Brandon and my son were born within months of each other, we lived two doors down from the Bell family in West University Place.  Naturally, our two boys became best friends as soon as they were old enough to discover one another.  Their toddler years were spent in both our homes, so Brandon holds a very special place in our hearts.  When Brandon was 4 years old, our family moved to Austin, and I will never forget that final departure for the boys.  As we were driving away, Brandon laid down on the sidewalk in front of our house and pounded the concrete with his little hands.  It is a vision I will never forget.  And even though the boys never reconnected, my son still thinks very fondly of Brandon to this day.  I don't know why these things happen to people and I cannot imagine losing a child, but I know that Brandon brought much joy while he was here for his too short life.  When I told my son recently about this, at the age of 31, he was deeply saddened, as was I.  Brandon made a mark on us when he was very young, a mark that isn't and never will be forgotten..

Brandon...today is technically the second Christmas without you.  The first one was less than 30 days after you died and neither Dad, Blake or I can even remember it. This year I did take out the Christmas decorations and started out getting things done, then just lost it. All the things that were yours that we always had out was more than I could handle.  I miss you so much it hurts. I have had a sore throat for the past three days and right now I am home while Daddy went with Blake and Jenny to jenny's Mom's house for dinner.  Today was pretty lonely.  Blake and Jenny did not get here until about 12:30PM.  Last night we had a quick dinner with our traditional tamales and Dad made chili.  I hung your "Brandon" banner and your stocking.  I also set a place at the table with your name place card next to me.  We went to Church at 9:00AM with Blake, Jenny and Jenny's parents for a candlelight service.  I was thinking about you while singing Christmas carols wondering if you were doing the same.  Chris Davis posted on facebook that he is getting married. How I wish it was you. I love you my precious precious baby.  I remember how much you always loved Christmas.  I will start working on the scrapbooks of your life after New Years.  I want to make a story of your life with pictures and things I have saved of yours all these years. I really missed you especially today.  I will always love you and be proud and honored to be your Mom.  I hope we will be together soon.  I look forward to hug you again.  I hope you will be at the gates of Heaven waiting for me.  All my love forever, my sweet sweet boy.  No one will ever be able to take your place. Love from your Mom.

Oh Brandon...I have a million things that I could say. It's been over a year now, and I still can't believe that you are really gone. This all feels like a very bad dream. I was only 12 years old when we met, and I have so, so many memories of you. I'm thankful that you were such a large part of my life. You always knew how to put a smile on my face, and you were always so good to me. I hope your parents know that they raised a wonderful man. You would do anything for a friend, you were so sweet and respectful, and you just had the best heart ever. I will forever miss your smile and laugh. Everyone loved you so much...it is a true testament to just how wonderful you were. I will always have a place for you in my heart.

It's been a year since you were taken away. You were very much on everyone's mind last week as we all gathered at Jan and Billy's for our traditional Thanksgiving celebration.. it was so obvious that someone was missing, and of course, that someone was you.

Brandon, I still remember when you were just a little boy. You were so much like your dad and you talked just like a grownup. One day we will all be together again.

It is hard to believe that a year has passed by and we have been without you. It seems like your accident just happened and then it seems like it has been forever ago that it happened because I miss you so much! Thanksgiving was not the same without you and I tried not to go by the chair at Aunt Jan's house you usually laid in and slept and watched football in because I knew you would not be there. I made your buttermilk pie that you and Daddy always liked after all. That turned out to be the one everyone ate so I am glad I made it.  You were heavy on my heart more than ever that day.  I missed you so! I came home and took down and packed away all the Thanksgiving decorations I managed to put out.  I know you and Blake and Dad always said that my decorating for every holiday did not matter, but I think Blake and your Dad were glad to se that I made an effort this year.  I am in the process of putting up Christmas decorations and hung the stockings that I made many years ago and yours is hanging there along with Blake's, your Dad's, mine and Jenny's.  Blake and Jenny have tried to comfort me and Dad this year, but it is not the same without you.  I wish I had of told you more the way I feel/felt in my heart about you and what an incredible son you were and are. You were always too hard on yourself and I think felt like you had to always succeed at something for me to be proud of you like when you were in school.  That was just not so and I probably did not tell you that, but I hope you knew.  I am so sorry now that I did not go to see you play your music and sing.  You had an incredible voice and talent that I don't think you even realized.  Dad has played a recording for me of you singing.  It is hard to hear because I feel so bad that I did not pay more attention to your music after you were out of school. As always, baby I love you and miss you like crazy! The one thing I am glad of is that you no longer have to think you have to measure up in the world we still have to live in. There is no part of my day that I am not thinking of and missing you and I am sure that will never change.  Sometimes I try and fill that hole in my heart by being incredibly busy, but when I stop the feelings and loss come rushing back and I realize you will never come home again in this world. I love the dream I had of you appearing in my bedroom while I was sleeping and your body being all light and you were smiling then you crawling in bed with me and snuggling and how your body turned into flesh and you were so warm and then you were gone again.

My precious Brandon, This will be the first Thanksgiving without you.  Your Dad and I remember it to be the last full day we got to spend with you.  We are going to Aunt Jan's like always for the traditional "Family Reunion Thanksgiving".  I have been having the hardest last few weeks just thinking about how you won't be there with Me or your Dad or Blake & Jennifer.  I have been trying to be overly busy to try to get it off my mind, but when I am finished with what ever task I am going it comes flooding back to me.  I bought egg nog last night and remember how much you and your Dad liked it and you were the only ones to drink it.  I am making Waldrof salad as per tradition and I am so glad that last year I made you some without pineaplle and you liked it. I will not be making the buttermilk pie that you and Daddy liked.  You will not be here to help Dad eat it.  All these things I remember that you liked ... Next Thursday, November 29, 2012 marks the anniversary of the truly worst day of your family's lives. Today is your 31st birthday.  This was a happy day when you were born! What a blessing you were to us! You do not know the joy you gave me and your Dad! I love you and miss you so much! I truly wish I wasn't writing this right now... I miss you so much.  I think about you every day. Everywhere I turn there's a memory of you.  You were one of my best friends.  No one has ever known me like you. You watched me grow and guided me into the woman I am today and god knows I made some mistakes but you always forgave me, no matter what.  I would not be who I am today if it wasn't for you.  I love seeing you in my dreams and I love the memories I have with you, but most of all I love you and I always will.

Ruthanne & Family, I was so sorry to hear of the loss of your son. It's not fair when our children are taken before us, but then there are a lot of things in life that aren't fair. My prayers are with you and the rest of your family.

I miss you so terribly I cannot begin to tell you! I hope you knew how very very much I loved you and continue to love you and how very proud I am to be your Mother.  Please forgive me for all the mistakes I made when you were growing up.  All the wrong things I did or did not do.  All the wrong things I said or did not say.  All I know is I love you more than life itself and if I could have traded places with you the morning of your death my previous baby I would have with no hesitation.  I still feel like this is all a major cruel mistake and that you will come through the front door any minute. Then I remember all the things that have happened: your service, the time we had with you in the chapel before you were cremated, picking up your ashes and I am faced with the cruel reality that you are no longer on this earth.  I have no doubt that you are in Heaven with Nana, Granddaddy and have now met my Mom and Dad.  This is of such little comfort to me right now.  I long to hear your voice and have been hearing you say "Hi Mom" in my mind for the last several mornings.  I am so afraid to forget what your voice sounds like.  I am so glad that your Dad and I got to have you home for the last several weeks!  I will never forget the nights we went out to dinner together and this last Thanksgiving we had together.  Please know that no one will ever fill the emptiness that I have in my heart for you. I think I told you I loved you on the phone when we talked on the Monday before you went to work and I think you told me you loved me too.  I wish I could remember for sure.  I cannot believe that Blake and Jennifer's children will not get to know their Uncle Brandon.  I will be sure to tell them all about you.  I wish I could be with you now and I am sorry I was not with you in the car the morning you were taken from me. I pray that you were not scared or in pain or felt alone. You were always so handsome and your smile and twinkle in your eyes would light up the room.  I know that you had many gifts, but your greatest gift was that you were a terrific friend to all who knew you and that you would go out of your way for anyone who needed your 
help. I have your picture by my bed and kiss it every night.  I pray it will not be long before we are together again my precious baby.  Thirty years was not near enough time with you! I love you and will continue to miss you for as long as I live!

I too met Brandon through an internet game.  I knew him as a brilliant man with a razor sharp sense of humor, but more importantly as kind and thoughtful and always willing to do what needed done.  He is an important and treasured member of a close community spread across the country.  His loss has been deeply grieved by many people here. to this date i still in in a state of denial. brandon was a amazing person and the thought of him no longer being with us is crushing. i am also one of those he played WoW with. when we got the news we didnt lose a player we lost a friend. brandon "sid" bell was a stellar human being. as i said i still fell like hes gonna log in and say "hey guys sorry im late, your not gonna believe the misunderstanding ive been part of" i can only imagine what you guys are going through as a family. brandon will be missed and will ALWAYS be in our hearts.

My condolences to the family..... I don't even know what to say..... Brandon was such an amazing, funny person and such a great friend... I didn't know him for long, but I'm glad that I did get to know him.. we had some good times.. downing bosses in ICC.. downing the Lich King.. just chillin on vent doing some dungeons.... he was one of our first guildies, and we really enjoyed playing with him and getting to know him.. he was such a great person, so well-loved... always knew how to make you smile...
