Robbie worked for Southwestern Bell for over 30 years before retiring. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. Hosting large Christmas Eve gatherings for her family brought her great happiness and she enjoyed spoiling her great-grandchildren. She always had a house full of dogs that she treated like family. She was an avid collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia and liked hunting for rare Beanie Babies.
Robbie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Larry Norton, and her longtime partner of 31 years, Molly Rodrigues.
Robbie was survived by her children Cindy (Tom) Dillard and Mike Stewart; granddaughter Kristi (Philip) Grice, great-grandson Matthew (Ayme) Vanderford, and great-great grandchildren Ryder and Wrenly; granddaughter Heather (Brandon) Black and great-grandchildren Bradley and Kylee; granddaughter Amanda (John) Hasty and great-grandchildren Finlie and Johnny.
Robbie was also survived by her five siblings Frank Hignett, Dian Hignett-Dwyer (Michelle Newcomer, Jonathan, Tyler, and Payton), Vincent Lopez, Lamar Norton, Linda Blackmon and many beloved nieces and nephews. Robbie also leaves behind many loving and caring friends.
Visitation for family and friends occurs on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Brookside Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 12:00PM. Interment will be in Brookside Memorial Park immediately after the funeral service. A celebration of life will follow at Heather Black's house.
