Rita Louise Smith, age 86, of Conroe, Texas passed away on Wednesday August 15, 2018. Rita was born January 29, 1932 in Kaplan, Louisiana to Ceasar and Elia Trahan.

Rita was preceded in death by; daughter Carol Rooks. Rita is survived by her children Kenneth Brown, Michael Brown, Patti Brown, and Van Smith and a sister, Shirley Hebert. Also left to cherish her memory are six grandchildren; Coy, Keri, Larry, Emily, Nate and Sam, and four great-grandchildren; Levi, Cannon, Landon, and Brianna.

A visitation for Rita will be held Monday, August 20, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with the burial to follow in the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
