Richard Dean Garrett

Mr. Richard Dean Garrett, 75, born July 13, 1943 in Alameda, California passed away on August 1, 2018 in Houston, Texas. Rick grew up in Oklahoma and moved to Texas in the 1970s to begin his career in the oil and gas industry. While working as the Chief Financial Officer for Aero Services, Western Geophysical and Baker Hughes, Rick lived in many places around the world including South America, the Middle East, London and Russia. Rick lived an interesting and enjoyable life, greatly advanced in his professional career, was respected by his employees and executives, cordially loved by his family and international friends.

He had a deep love of country music, especially Patsy Cline.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clariece and Cliff Bradley of Lovington, New Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Nina Garrett of Houston, Texas, his daughter, Kelly LaValle and her husband Bob of Owassa, Oklahoma; his daughter Shannon Garrett and her husband, Darren Dolan of Miami, Florida; and his daughter Courtney Garrett of Elberta, Alabama. He is also survived by five grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed by his friends and family. He will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony.
