Richard L. Bateman, 63, passed away March 8, 2012 at his home peacefully in his sleep. He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Mae Flowers Bateman. Richard was a devoted father and husband and an active member of the Spring Baptist Church choir.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Linda M. Bateman; son, Richard Bateman, Jr.; daughters, Rhonda Ferguson and husband David, Kelly Baughman and husband Mark, Sunday Hernandez and husband Rey; father, Ralph Lowell Bateman; twin brother, Robert Bateman; sister, Barbara Counts; precious grandchildren: Jonathan Ferguson and wife Bre, Nathan Ferguson, Timothy Ferguson, Alyssa Ferguson, Sarah Kay, Mason Kay, Kelsie Hernandez, and Kagan Hernandez; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 3pm, Sunday, March 11th with a visitation one hour prior in Brookside Funeral Home Grand Chapel.
Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
