Survived by his wife of 47 years, Teresa Arnold Patterson, his brother Steve Patterson and wife Betsy, his daughter Claudia Farrell and husband Ryan, sister-in-law Jan Roberman, brothers-in-law Sam Stronach and Roy Arnold and wife Krisann, his nieces and nephews Tom Patterson, Andy and Meghan Patterson, Chris Patterson and Sara Kilroy, Sam Stronach, Will and Kathie Stronach, Danielle Arnold and Andrew Kitchens, and many great-nieces and nephews.
Preceded by his parents Susan Pierce and Louis Winfield Patterson, and his brother David Patterson.
Reynolds attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where he met his wife. After their marriage and graduations, he was accepted to Carnegie Mellon. The couple then moved to Pittsburgh where he obtained a Master of Science degree in Industrial Administration (MBA). After graduation, the Patterson's moved to Cleveland, Ohio where their daughter was born, before settling in Plano, Texas. He spent his career in consulting, writing software used in one of the largest teaching hospitals and supporting Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. He was an active participant in the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
Reyn was greatly loved by his friends and family, with whom he enjoyed many summers swimming, water skiing, and sailing. He volunteered with his church’s disaster response team, and was a fine orator who served many roles in Toastmasters International including Division Governor. He will be missed.
The family will be holding a graveside ceremony at Memorial Park Cemetery (5111 S Memorial Dr, Tulsa, OK 74145) on Friday, July 5 at 11 am, and a memorial at CUMC (3101 Coit Rd, Plano, TX 75075) on July 19 at 11 am.
