Rev. Robert Thomas Bush

Robert Thomas Bush was born in Calvert, Texas to the late Charlie L. and M.L. Bush on March 25, 2015. He attended Calvert Public High in Calvert, Texas. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and attended Spring Hill Baptist Church in Calvert, Texas. He later moved to Houston, Texas where he united in Holy Matrimony to Earlie Mae Bush on June 25, 1957. From that union, two sons were born, Oswald Derwin Bush and Darrin Keith Bush, Sr. Robert worked passionately as an employee with Frito Lay. He began his career with Frito Lay in 1957 until he retired in 1991. Robert was also a member of the Calvart Colored W.D. Spigner Alumni. Upon moving to Houston, Robert continued to worship and serve the Lord. He was a member of Mt. Horeb Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Samuel H. Smith where he worked and served faithfully as an usher and a deacon and on April 3, 2005, he was called into the ministry. On Friday, February 27, 2015, he departed this life and went to be with the Lord to have eternal life. He was proceeded in death by her parents Charlie L. and ML Bush, his wife, Earlie Mae Bush, brothers Charles Edward Bush, Bosque Lamar Bush, David Bush, Charlie Lee Bush, Jr., and sisters Vera Jean Bush, Earlie Dean Bush-Owens. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memories: his son, Darrin Bush I, daughter-in-law, Laronda Bush, 4 grandchildren, Seancy Albright, Darwin Bush, Darrin Bush II, and 7 siblings, Alvin Bush (Otha), John Bush (Vivian), Danny Kay Walker (Billy), Doris Faye Benson (Robert) and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends
