Reuben Hart Jr.

Reuben, born in Lumberton, MS, was a United States Army Veteran. After graduating from high school, he attended Rust College in Holly Springs, MS for a year before leaving and entering the army. His tour of duty ended after he was wounded in 1967 near Phu Loi, Vietnam. He was treated for his injuries and presented with several distinguished medals of Honor. The decorations, medals, badges, commendations, citations, and campaign ribbons that he was awarded included a Purple Heart. In recent years, Reuben enjoyed working with the Veteran’s ministry at Brookhollow Baptist Church.

Reuben was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Rosella Hart of Lumberton, MS. Left to cherish his memories are: wife, Audrienne Hart of Houston, TX; father-in-law, William (Helen) Martin of Cincinnati, Ohio; mother-in-law, Martha Berrian of Nashville, TN; sister, Rose (Roger) Gray of Gulfport MS; brothers, Larry Hart and Milton (Connie) Hart of Lumberton, MS; sisters-in-law, Tamara (Karl) Radley and Kristi King of Nashville, TN; and Donita Martin of Powder Springs, GA; and one brother-in-law, William (Tamiko) Martin, III of Charlotte NC.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 29, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in The Stateroom at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024.
