Renee Harold Day, 88 years old, passed away August 1, 2019, at home with family. He was born November 21, 1930, in Monroe, LA to Velma Cochran. Renee was raised in Dixie, MS and attended Forrest High School. As a young man he served in the US Navy on the USS Manchester in Long Beach, CA. After his service he returned to Mississippi, where he met and married his wife, Darlene Jean Henley, mother of his children. They decided to settle in Texas, where he was a resident for over 50 years. He lost his beloved wife after 45 years of marriage in 1997. In 1999 during his 50th high school reunion he rekindled with his high school sweetheart, Christina Stanley Lott. Later he married and enjoyed thirteen years of companionship and support until her passing in 2017.
A man of few words, Renee will be missed and adored by his family and friends. He will be remembered by his five children Deborah Moseley, Marjorie LeDoux, Richard Day (Kathy), Angela Booth (Rodney) and Robert Day; along with his 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and his sister, Sue Lee of Brooklyn, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents Willie H. Day and Velma, his spouses Darlene Henley Day and Christina Lott Day, two son-in-laws Trent Moseley and Paul LeDoux and grandson David Moseley.

Visitation is at 11:00 AM August 8 at the chapel in Oaks Mausoleum at Memorial Oaks Funeral home and Cemetery in Houston,TX. Followed by a funeral service in the Mausoleum Chapel @ 1:00 PM.
