Sis. Renee Ceasar-Davis was born on October 14th, 1950 in El Campo, Texas. She was the beloved daughter of Doris Lee Aycock of Conroe,Texas and the daughter of the late Willie Ceasar Jr. Renee was preceded in death by her brother, Frederick Reathi, her maternal grandmother, Lilly Mae Johnson, and her paternal grandmother, Idabel Ceasar. She joined the church at an early age at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in El Campo, Texas. Renee moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1966 where she graduated from Foy H. Moody High School. She later graduated from Houston Community College as a Registered Nurse. Renee loved reading and watching her favorite Sports Teams, the Houston Rockets, the Houston Astros, and the Houston Texans. Renee was a dog lover, and she devoted her life to taking care of the sick.
Renee was united in Holy Matrimony to Edward Davis. She was an RN at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas and later retired from the Harris County Psychiatric Hospital. Renee stuck her sword in the sandy shores of time to study war no more on April 27th, 2023 and leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Doris Lee Gidrey, and her two sons Alfred Tanksley III & Keathal Tanksley (Stacye). Her sister Beverly Reathi Robinson (Andrew), her brother, Curtis Ceasar, her uncle, Kenneth Aycock (Kay); 4 grandsons, Trevan Merritt, Michael Roberson, Matthew Tanksley & Cameron Tanksley; 2 nieces, 5 nephews, and a host of cousins, family members, and friends.
She now knows as she has always known, through the eyes of pure love, for to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. She was an awesome loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, wife, nurse, and friend, but most of all, a child of God.
