Raymond was a devoted family man with a heart of gold. He was generous, kind, funny and brought so much light and love to those who knew him. He cherished the time spent with family and friends. One of his many passions included barbequing during family gatherings. He was always the life of the party and found joy in making everyone smile. Raymond was an avid golfer and loved being active – perpetually looking for an opportunity to get moving. He inspired many with his unwavering work ethic. Raymond worked as a machinist for 42 years at Hudson Machine Works/ NOV until retiring. He will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
Raymond is preceded in death by his mother, Carol Jean Glenn; grandparents, Earl Douglas Hudson Sr. and Nina Inez Hudson; uncles, Wiley Hudson and Earl Douglas Hudson, Jr.; cousins, Libby and Rena.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of nearly 20 years, Cecilia Glenn; children, Tommy, Michelle, Kristi; grandchildren, Rowan, Nikki, Ramon, Damirus; great grandson, MJ; sister, Sondra; brothers, Damon (Sharr), James (Nora) and Bryan; aunts, Lanelle Hudson and Ellen McLemore; nieces and nephews, Trent (Serena), Taelor (Daniel), Avery (Nolan), Nina, Lennox; cousins, Kellie, Denise, Donna, Deidra, Diane, and Leslie as well as many other treasured family and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home in the Grand Chapel followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park & Cemetery.
