He made his home in Houston, Texas where he met his loving wife, Virginia Jean Castro. They later married in 1965, having 5 children.
Ramon went into the construction business to support his growing family. His work took him to various parts of Texas, yet he remained close to his family. Ramon and Virginia were known within their community as very loving and caring people. He helped many people, lifting them up and putting them in a position to grow as individuals. He was respected by many for his generosity and willingness to help others.
Most important to him were his children. He taught his children life lessons that would build their character and core values.
Ramon lost his loving wife, Virginia (VJ) in 2010. He continued to encourage and support his family in the absence of his wife. Ramon passed away February 18, 2023, at the age of 90. Ramon leaves behind children, Miguel Angel Garcia(son), Ramon Garcia Jr.(son), Javier Garcia(son), Grace Marie Sanchez(daughter), Gerado (Jerry) Garcia(son), Mark Garcia(son) and Javier Delgado(nephew), whom he raised as his own.
He also leaves behind two surviving siblings, his sister, Eulogia Martinez of Dallas, and a brother, Bernardo Garcia of Monterrey, Mexico.
Ramon is also survived by daughters-in-law, Mary Garcia, Nora Garcia, Olga Garcia, Margret Garcia and his son-in-law David J. Sanchez.
Ramon was preceded in death by his sister Rosa Garcia Almaguer, brother Antero Garcia Almaguer, brother-in-law Jose Martinez and sister-in-law Rosalinda Garcia Gonzales.
Ramon also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
