Pierre Heinrich Metzener

Pierre Metzener, 59, known to friends as "Pete", passed away on May 20th, 2019. He was born April 25, 1960 in Johannesburg, South Africa. He moved to Bern, Switzerland in 1963 and from there immigrated to Syracuse, NY in 1968. After graduating from Corcoran High School, he moved to Houston, Texas and opened Pete's Floor Covering, which he owned and operated tirelessly for the rest of his life. His true passion in life was being on the open road on his Harley with his closest friends. He also loved being with his dog Harvey, which he rescued during a hurricane. Pierre had the most caring heart and was truly loved by everyone in his life. His last unselfish act was having his organs donated to those in need.

Pierre is predeceased by his beloved mother, Myra Abrahamse Coughlin. He is survived by his father, Heinz Metzener (Eileen Pelletier) of Little River, SC, his sister Celeste Greenough (Robert) of Camillus, NY, his niece Ashleigh Greenough and nephew Derek Greenough, as well as many other relatives in Switzerland and South Africa. His family would also like to mention Eddie and Susie Knox and Suzie Cruz, who were like family to Pierre, for their love and devotion.
