Peter A Boutros passed away at 83 years old peacefully on October 8, 2023, with his family present. Peter’s health has been in rapid decline over the past two years, which has made this a sad but joyful time for our family as we celebrate his joining our Lord in heaven.
Peter was born in Cairo, Egypt on November 25, 1939. As a child Peter was an athlete with awards in track and played soccer as well. He moved to Alexandria, Egypt to attend medical school where he trained to be an OBGYN and where he would meet his future bride.
He married his wife, Samiha Girgis, on January 22,1966 and later that same year they moved to Winnipeg, Canada where he took up his residency in OBGYN. In Winnipeg, Peter and Samiha had three children, Christopher Paul Boutros, Audrey Michelle Boutros and Mark Jason Boutros. In 1976 Peter and Samiha made the decision to move their family to Houston, which is where they made their permanent home. Peter’s private medical practice thrived delivering over 5,000 bundles of joy. The man worked very hard to provide for his family. His joyful dedication would have him frequently up at the hospital taking care of his patients.
Peter’s favorite things were to spend time with his family and a close second was food. He also loved going to his bay house in Jamaica beach. You would see him up early in the morning sitting outside with a thick book that he would finish before it was time to go home on Sunday.
Peter was always ready to brag about his wife Samiha and his children. We all cherished him and will miss all the times spent together.
The family is having a private morning service on Tuesday October 17th where he will be laid to rest at The Texas Liberty Mausoleum Chapel at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
We are having a gathering of friends for Peter Wednesday October 18th at 6:30pm – 9.00pm.

II Corinthians 5:8 “Absent from the body present with the Lord”.
Psalm 23 (his favorite): The Lord is my shepherd, There is nothing I shall lack. In green pastures He makes me lie down; to still waters He leads me; He restores my soul. He guides me along right paths for the sake of His name. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff comfort me.
