Paul was born November 11th, 1943 in Fort Worth, Texas to James Elbert Clark and Saba Josephine Florence Riley. He graduated 4th in his class from North Side High School in 1962 and in the top 10% from the U.S. Navy Pharmaceutical School. He attended Lon Morris College as a Theater Major, Deans List, Phi Beta Kappa and Houston Baptist University as a Music Major, Deans List. In 1970 he married Janet Murray in Houston, enjoying 20 years together . Paul was employed as a professional musical entertainer, restaurant general manager and trainer, church choir director, and retirement activities director. He was respected and dedicated, and took pride in all he did. He was a true man of God and loved the Lord with all his heart. He spent most of his free time singing with his golden voice and enchanting guitar playing, cooking amazing food for family and friends, teaching with his incredible knowledge, writing beautiful words, learning and loving the arts, playing golf when he could and spending time with his adoring children, grandchildren and beloved friends, coworkers and church members. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to bring joy to everyone he met. He was loving and gentle, strong and courageous, kind and giving, he was sincere and genuine and was a man of integrity.
Paul is survived by his daughters Eryn and Brel Clark, siblings Havela and Kenneth Hill, Sherry Zeise, grandchildren Brennan Czajka, Lillian Taylor, Cohen and Logan Cashman, nieces and nephews Kendra and Clint Partain, Gardee and Michelle Hill and extended family. Paul was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to all.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 24 at Hope Episcopal Church, 1613 West 43rd Street, Houston, Tx 77018, Reverend Bobbie Knowles will be officiating. A reception immediately following the memorial will also be held at Hope Episcopal Church.
