He was preceded in death by his parents, Michele and Regina Skok, his brothers Raoul and Eneo Skok, his daughter Lisa Christine Skok, and son-in-law Robert Odell.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia Ann Skok; his daughters Cynthia Odell, Diana Corridori, Lynda Martinez, and Jessica Skok; eight grandchildren Connor, Joshua, Olivia, Angelo, Massimiliano, Henry, Samuel, and Angelina as well as son-in-laws Umberto Corridori and Henry Martinez.
As a marble and mosaic field superintendent whose skilled craftsmanship graced iconic landmarks such as the Texas Capitol, Rice University, The Houston Library, and the Houston Medical Center, he was highly respected in his field. His legacy of hard work and contribution to numerous projects across Houston, Texas, and the The United States will forever be remembered.
He found joy in a diverse range of music—be it opera, mariachi, or country music. He also enjoyed watching football, along with his dog, Lucy, with whom he also shared walks, truck rides, and evenings by the fire.
His life was a genuine expression of love, with each moment dedicated to the happiness of his cherished wife and daughters whom he loved deeply.
He expressed this profound affection through lively conversations, shared laughter, and the warmth of
togetherness.
He imparted the wisdom to appreciate the simple joys of life, and his memory lives on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be missed dearly.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 4 PM – 6:45 PM and rosary beginning at 7 PM at
Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077 on Thursday, January 11, 2024, and a funeral service at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church at 1530 Norwalk Dr, Katy, TX 77450 on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 11 AM.
Interment to follow at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.
