Olga Macik Havel, 89, passed into eternal rest on June 24, 2020. Olga was born January 23, 1931 in Burleson County, Texas. She grew up living on a farm in Snook, Texas, where she attended school from elementary to high school. Olga was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Humble and previously a member of Memorial Baptist Church. She was also a member of SPJST Lodge # 88. Family and friends, church, fishing and puzzles were her passions.
Olga is preceded in death by: her parents Alfred and Olga Macik, husband Leo Havel, brothers Clem and Stanley Macik, sisters Evelyn Paul and Dorothy Vernon, son-in-law Roger Chancey and grandson Thomas Williams.
Left to cherish her memories are daughters: Carolyn Chancey and her husband Roger, Marlene Sprawls and her husband Byron, Darlene Williams and her husband Charles, Brenda McCullough and her husband David; grandchildren: Angela Davis, Tina Webb, John Williams, Corey Williams, Jason McCullough, Micah McCullough, Sherrie Habermacher, Tammy Easterwood, Summer Chancey, Ashley Chancey; sister Lillie Martin and her husband Ernest, 26 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Caring Hospice (formerly Rose of Texas Hospice) and especially Pam Davis for their care of Olga.
The family will receive family and friends for a funeral service and reception at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039, on Friday, June 26, 2020 with the funeral to begin at 2:00 p.m. and the reception to follow.
