Olga Gutierrez

Olga Oralia Gonzalez Gutierrez went to be with our Lord on the morning of February 28, 2018 at the age of 90 years old. She was born and raised in the town of Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico to Cecilio and Guadalupe Gonzalez on September 10, 1927. She was the youngest of 12 children and was the matriarch of the Gonzalez family as the last surviving child. She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Oscar Valdez Gutierrez and her son Alvaro Gutierrez. She was 24 years old when they married on November 16, 1951 and had 6 children. They moved to Houston, TX in 1954 and became fans of the Houston Astros which was their favorite past-time. For part of her life, she worked as a Nursing Assistant in 2 different hospitals until retiring in 1986 and later moved to Katy in 1991. She dedicated her life to her family, loved them with all her heart and leaves her legacy through all of her children. She is survived by her children: Oscar M. Gutierrez Jr. (Mary), Daniel Gutierrez, Joe Gutierrez (Belinda), Roy Gutierrez (Diana) and Elsa G. Garza (Javier). Her grandchildren: Oscar III, Isaac, Eric, Valerie, Monique, Daniel Jr., Jessica, Joe Jr., Christopher, Roy Jr., Javier Jr. and Lauren. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
