Nannie Helen Miller was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world and went home to be with the Lord on March 23, 2021, at the age of 89, in Kingwood, Texas.
She was born to Bland and Nannie Pruitt on February 21, 1932, in Sagerton, Texas. After moving to the Houston area, she graduated from Charles Bender High School, in 1950. She married John Miller on September 24, 1950, and they moved from the Shadydale area to the Forest Cove Community in 1966. They had three children - Vicki Flake, Glenda McClellan, and John Miller, Jr. Helen was a member of Forest Cove Baptist Church, which is now Second Baptist Church. She worked with the church GA girls program and was an Assistant Precinct Election Judge.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents Bland and Nannie Pruitt, husband John Miller, sisters Estelle Byrd and Anita Hall, and brother Bland Pruitt.
She is survived by her three children - Vicki Flake and husband Thomas, Glenda McClellan and husband Phillip, and John Miller, Jr. and wife Suzanne; six grandchildren - Thomas Flake Jr., Tammy Stewart and husband Kirk, Phillip Charles McClellan, James McClellan III and wife Jonquil, John Miller III and wife Chelsea, and Johzanne Miller; 13 great-grandchildren - DeAnn, Katelynn, John Dooley, and Helen Stewart, Trey and Hannah Flake, Jacek, Ashby, Ramsey and Riley McClellan, Colby Bernard, Cambri Ann and Channing Miller; siblings James Pruitt, Nelda Giles, and Daniel Pruitt; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
