Nancy was my dear friend. We share d good times and bad times together. She was kind abd  caring, but was also tough as nails. My hear and prayers are with her family.

My dear sweet sister Nancy, I Miss you so much,
And I've got so much to tell you.every time something happens I think I've got to call NAncy, but then I remember I  can't call you any more and I feel the pain of knowing our chain is broken again.I've asked Jimmy to watch over you and I know he will , I know you are there with your three babies, and billy and .what a time you must be having but I cant stop missing you.I hope you know how much you are missed. Your girls are really having a hard time.so is mama.but the rest of us is hurting to.if we could've we would not have let you go.you, ve left us so many. Beautiful memories that we will keep in our. Hearts forever.you were always there for us wher ever we needed you. You would do any thing for any of us.our big sister.im so proud that I had you as my sister as long as I did.so  many times you pulled my butt out of the  fire.that's what we did we helped each other.we are a tight family. You are a part that can never be replaced. I wouldn't want to.when someone you love so much dies it leaves a great big painful whole in your  heart that I don't know how to fill it up maybe  one day I will get past the pain but I know there will  never be another Nancy Carol.and thats is so sad because. this world needs more people like you.you had one of those personality that every one. was jealous of.Your never met a stranger and every one that met you loved you.you were beautiful and fun.you had a heart as big as texas and you we're funny.I will love you and miss you forever  your sister Shirley

My dear big sister. Nancy was the oldest of 6 kids. She had a lot of responsibility growing up because she had to wrangle all of her siblings, as she babysat us when Mom worked. 
Nancy was a go-getter, a deal maker, creative and inventive and most of all, a hard worker.  
She loved all of us.
She kept us all in line & always had our backs. She would rescue us from any situation we found ourselves in. She was always willing to lend a hand with all of us. She helped us all move in and move out of homes & apartments, helped after babies were born, offered to come clean our houses for us.
 She cooked for all of us growing up, goulash was her specialty 7 nights a week.
It was fun growing up in a house with 6 kids. It was great having an older sister who protected you growing up. Nancy was like our second Mother.
I know my sister's spirit is free in Heaven & free from the pain that gripped her daily. The world lost a beautiful soul & Heaven gained an Angel. Until we meet in the next life, I love you Nancy.

i've already missed you a thousand times. i just can't quite seem to accept that you have left this world, its like you just stepped away when nobody was watching, and it still takes my breath away. I want so badly to write beautiful words for you! I'm poor in words but I'm rich with memories. I remember
our garage sale days. Our huge garage sales were a family affair and legendary. What fun we had! (I'm so sorry I dropped my end of the couch on your ingrown toenail) 
I remember
Our fireworkstand days, the last 24 hours was so fast paced. "Don't waste time explaining to one person, hold the package up high and tell the whole dern crowd what it does, then rake in the money." We were regular entrepreneurs! (seasonal of course). I remember
the catering truck days, you passed on your working wisdom to me, such as basic spanish for the construction site work place. Give free bandaids and asprins to your customers. and Friday afternoon the girls will all meet up someplace like "The Lonesome Armadillo"  to commensurate and swap tall tales. And "be sure to keep your toenails painted!"
 
How could i ever forget the window cleaning days?
I remember 
Watching my big sister (who hated heights) bravely climbing the extension ladder up to the second story to tackle the dreaded diamond shaped windowpanes.
I remember
the beach house days, sitting with you on the porch swing at the beach house, singing to the radio, laughing and laughing and remembering all the good old days.
And i especially remember all the times you rescued me. And the day before you left us, i sat with you and reminded you of all the times you rescued me, because i wanted y o u to remember too.
All the times you were there when i needed you. Sometimes with just a wink and a smile. Other times with a phone call or a good ol' gossipy letter.
Shoot, if necessary, you formed a search & rescue/evacuation team (i.e....a map and a moving truck) 
 
And i remember we shared a smile and a hug that last day and we said good-bye. 
 
Unknown to me, that was truly our last goodbye. But this i do know, there will be another smile and another hug. Never again to say goodbye. I love you sister.

Nancy, My Darling Daughter.  I was the first to see you when you came into this world and the last to see you before you left.  I have loved you since before you were born and will love you forever.  We had some very special years together, and I thank God for that.  I also want to thank God for the very special gift of our last time together, We laughed and talked Saturday and had a great day, just you and I, And on Sunday I was holding you in my arms when you left this world for the arms of Jesus. Mom always had natural leadership skills that were especially handy helping to care for siblings when they were young.  She also had knack for making something out of nothing.  You could say She could make a silk purse out of a sals ear and could make a mean goulash, not to mention she was a natural beauty.  She made my childhood fun, being able to help on the catering truck and the firework stands.  I'll never forget our trips to the beach Where the waves would wash our worries away.  Mom definitely had a way with words. I admire how she was determined, persistent, and strong.  As evidenced not only by the achievement of her LVN but her ability to make things happen.  She would often tell me Can't never could and Where there is a will there is a way. But I think the best aspect of her personality is not only her keen wit but how she made people feel. Like they were the most special person in the room. She is loved and missed by many.  But what Mom impressed upon me the most is her love.  There is no one else in this world that can love you like your mother.  I will forever miss her voice, her smile, her laugh, her hugs and will always cherish our memories, treasure our time together on this earth and will one day be together again where there are no broken hearts.

Mom,
You have left us with a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.  As i look back over the years and remember the trials and tribulations that we as a family and you personally have gone thru.  It shows what a truly strong, amazing woman you were.  You lost three babies, in the span of three years. That in itself would have broken most people.  You also were the sole financial support of our family more times than not.  You had a independent spirit that just wouldn't stop.  Most people say you could sell ice to a eskimo, sadly this is not a trait I inherited from you, Melissa got this one.  You both can talk to anyone, anytime and be just fine.  I on the other hand would be ok to not talk to anyone.  I envy that in you both.  You became my mother when you were little more than a child yourself, and we both grew up together, I wanted to take care of you and make sure you were ok.  Over the years we have Laughed, fought, drove each other crazy, but we always knew the love and support was there.  We lost you too soon, our family will go on but without you, we will always have a missing piece.  I know you believed in God and he decided it was time for you to come home, and I know you are in a better place, But the selfish part of me wants you to still be here.  I will miss you mom forever and always.

May God bring you all peace knowing Nancy McDonald is an angel in heaven watching over all her loved ones. I  love you all and will continue to pray for all the family I love you all.

I never had the chance to meet Nancy,  but I have been blessed to know her wonderful daughters.  To Wende and Melissa, I wish you peace and comfort in the coming days and know that I'm keeping your families in my thoughts and prayers.

I know how hard it is to lose a parent--I have lost both of mine.  There is hope that you will see them someday.  I enjoyed my visits with your mother every time I saw her.  I am praying for you, Dene and Melissa and her family during this time of your grief.  The Great Comforter will be there to hold you as you go on with your lives without her.  I love you and am glad you are my daughter-in-law.
