Miguel A Barrios

Miguel was born April 14th, 1934 in Mexico City, to Luis Barrios Castelazo and Josefina Knight Goribar. He had six brothers and sisters: Antonio, Luz, Luis, Cote, Roberto, and Jaime. He was the last surviving child of the Barrios-Knight family with history dating back to the Mexican independence declaration signed by his fourth great grandfather, the Marquis de San Juan de Rayas.

Miguel is survived by his four children, Deborah, Patricia, Miguel, and Kevin; by his three stepchildren, Stephen, Stephanie, and Scott; by his twenty grandchildren; and his thirteen great grandchildren.

Miguel immigrated to the USA from Mexico in 1963. He successfully started multiple companies over the years ending with the founding of Riba Foods and the Arriba! Mexican salsa product line in 1988.

Miguel was a patriarch in his family and at the company for the last 34 years. He touched many lives with his abundance of kindness and generosity throughout the years he walked with us.
