Maurice Frank McGee, 95, born in Mexia, TX, died at his home in Humble, TX, on Monday, September 17, 2012. He married Frances Oma Parsley on July 3, 1937, in Dallas, TX. They had four children. After serving in World War II as a supply sergeant, Mr. McGee returned to his former employer, United Gas Pipeline Company and completed his education, graduating from Southern Methodist University. He spent his entire career with United Gas/Pennzoil. He lived many years in Shreveport, LA, where he was an active member of Brookwood Baptist Church, contributing as a singer, teacher and deacon. After transferring to Houston, he devoted his many talents to the ministries of Willow Meadows Baptist Church until his retirement. After 50 years of marriage, Frances died in 1988 and he was blessed to have a second loving marriage to Norma Feathers, whom he married on December 1, 1990. At the time of his death, Mr. McGee was a beloved member of Deerbrook Baptist Church in Humble, TX. Mr. McGee is survived by his wife, Norma McGee, of Humble, TX; one brother, Taylor McGee of Sausalito, CA; daughters: Jean McGee Landis, of Hillsboro, TX, and Rita McGee Satawa, of Baton Rouge, LA.; and sons: Jay Wesley McGee, who resides in Kazakhstan, and Arthur Lee McGee, of Dallas, TX. Grandchildren include: Michael Landis, Dana Landis Biedrzycki, De’Ette Landis Binder, Anton Zanki, Mark Zanki, Maxx McGee, Sean C. McGee, Adrianne McGee Hastings, and Aaron McGee; five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Step-children include: Jesse Feathers, Katrina Feathers Bobinger, and Gregory Feathers. Step-grandchildren are Austin Bobinger, Natajia Bobinger and Teagan Feathers. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances; granddaughter, Jennifer Shea McGee, and four siblings. Visitation will be from 6-8PM on Thursday, September 20th at Brookside. Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, September 21st at Deerbrook Baptist, 400 E. Main St., Humble, TX 77338. Interment will be at 9AM on Monday, September 24th at Houston National Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are Mark Graham, Richard Hernandez, Charles Hicks, Ed Rust, George Grady, and Richard Wilson. Honorary pallbearers include: Curtis Meyers, Darrell Jamison, Magdi Girgis, and Daniel Gutierrez. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Mexican Indian Training Center, P.O.
