Mattie at the age of 16 moved to Houston, Texas where she attended Jack Yates High School. Mattie joined and worship at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until her health failed.
Mattie was employed at Braeswood Manor and Memorial Hermann TIRR for 20 years in Environmental Service until 1993 when she retired. Mattie loved cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mattie was preceded in death by both parents Wayne and Hattie Bradford, Brother George Bradford, Three Sons: Charles D. Miller, Lawrence H Jackson, James A St. Cyr
Mattie leaves to cherish her memories 2 Sons, Isaiah Joseph St.Cyr, Edward W. Jackson Sr. (Pamela); One daughter Thiddis C Chapman; Grandchildren, Tynesha Blackmon, Edward “EJ Jackson Jr., Christian Anderson, Stephanie Davis, Ashley St. Cyr, Jason St. Cyr, Nell Washington Ford, Bridgette Mitchell Leonard and Jeffery T. Wilson; Great Grandchildren, Chaz Atkins, Chazity Atkins and Bailey Jackson and a host of Loving family and friends.
A visitation for MATTIE will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Crossway Christian Fellowship Church, 12310 Carlsbad Street, Houston, TX 77085. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 8, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crossway Christian Fellowship Church, 12310 Carlsbad Street, Houston, TX 77085. A committal service will occur Friday, July 8, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Houston Memorial Garden, 2426 Cullen Blvd, Pearland, TX 77581.
