Mary Lee Turner

Mary grew up in Olla and attended public school in Jena, Louisiana. She joined Morning Star Baptist Church at an early age. She married Joe Minger, Sr. and from their union 7 children were born. In 1977 Mary moved to Humble, TX and became a member of at St Luke Baptist Church. She enjoyed helping others, fishing, needlepoint and football (STEELERS). She remarried to Robert Turner and no children were born from their union.

She moved her church membership to Power Light Missionary Baptist Church, where she worked with many auxiliaries under the leadership of her brother, Reverend Leon Jones.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, one sister, two brothers, two husbands, two sons, one grandson and one great grandson.

Mary Turner leaves to cherish her memories, one brother, Reverend Leon Jones, five daughters, Minnie, Barbara, Gracie, Tina and Joan, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
