Mary Esther Stewart

Mary Esther Stewart, 75, passed away on March 26, 2011, after a brief illness. Mary was preceded in death by her husband B.J. Stewart and her son Jeffrey W. Dean. She is survived by her grandson Jeffrey W. Dean, Jr., and wife Wyley and their son, Wyatt Reed Dean; granddaughter Melissa Dean; and sister Judith Parker. She is also survived by her dear friends, Joanna, Harlene, Laurie, and Scott among countless others. She was attended toward the end of her life by her personal caregivers, Char, Zinna, and Willesha and the caregivers of Odyssey Hospice.

Many years spent in the oil industry working for Michel T. Halbouty granted Mary the opportunity to work with some of the best scientific minds in the world, especially her work with the Circum-Pacific Council for Energy and Mineral Resources, of which she was a Director Emeritus. All who knew her recognized her sparkling wit, and she was a mentor to many young petroleum industry professionals. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations go to the charity of your choice.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2011, at Earthman Resthaven. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2011, in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven with burial following in the Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
